Portishead Junior Chess Rapidplay We are really excited to announce the 7th Portishead Junior Rapidplay which will take place at Somerset Hall on Saturday, 31st October! Players of all levels and ages (under 18) are warmly welcomed. For many players this will be their first experience tournament play and we do everything we can to ensure that they have a great experience. The day runs from 10.00-4.30 and the children play 6 games against other players in their age group. Each

Oliver Stubbs kindly agreed to play our juniors plus our viper chess robot at chess in a simulator in April ! The children loved it , they all came second against former British u18 chess champion …. Portishead ChessFest 2025 ChessFest returns to Portishead 2026 A date for your diaries! 11th July 2026! Details are still being worked on but you can be assured that this year will be even more fantastic than last year's inaugural event.
