Trip to Bath!

Last night the B team set off to face a strong Bath team. In the end luck wasn’t with us. Alice pulled off a fine victory. Meanwhile, Ibrahim played a mature game and looked a good bet for a win too,.Unfortunately a late slip in a tricky rook and pawn ending undid a lot of good work. Similarly Lana spurned a draw by repetition only to lose a bad bishop vs good knight ending. Al had a wild game which swung back and forth and could have gone either way, but again the Bath player was able to capitalise on a late mistake. So it was 1-3 to Bath in the end. Promising, but we need to be a bit more ruthless in the final stages of the game - a bit like the England Rugby Team!
