Portishead Chess Club

We meet every Friday (except during August) at Redcliffe Bay Hall, Newhaven Rd, Portishead, Bristol BS20 8LH. 

 

From 6pm-7pm we have a Junior Club which is open to anyone under the age of 18 (parents and guardians are welcome too!)

 

From 7pm the club is open to everyone for Social Chess regardless of strength and provides opportunities to play casual games, socialise and receive coaching (if they wish)..

 

On the first Thursday (19.30-22.20) of each month we meet at The Windmill Inn for "Sunset Chess" and a glass of whatever you fancy.

On the last Saturday (10.00-12.30) of each month we have "Brunch Chess" at Aqua on the Marina - friendly chess over a cup of coffee and maybe something to eat.

​

You don't even have to be able to play chess as we have 17 trained chess tutors. 

​

Finally, we also organise rated Competitions and have  three teams playing in the Bristol & District Chess League.

There's something for everyone, so come along! We're new, we're fun and we're different!
